We built this Alexa-compatible heater to be a straight swap for industrial machines that need heat on demand—fast, focused, and reliable. It’s a 400V, 2500W halogen heater, 300mm long, with an R7s connector. The kind you install once, then trust to deliver concentrated heat right where you need it in an automated cell.
Why the specs matter (in plain terms)
This thing is 400V and 2500W because sometimes you need serious heat without a bulky footprint. The 300mm length packs a lot of watt density into a tight space, so you don’t have to redesign your assembly just to get the output you want. Going with 400V also means lower current for the same power compared to lower-voltage designs. That keeps wiring and contacts more manageable. Make no mistake—this is focused heat. So your machine does need to be ready to handle the localized thermal load, but the trade-off is exactly what you want when speed and intensity matter.
The guts that keep it steady
Inside, we use a halogen element in a quartz envelope. Why? Because it stays consistent even when you’re cycling the heat on and off again and again, and it handles thermal shock without the filament giving up. The R7s connector is a bi-pin setup that locks the tube in place and gives you repeatable contact alignment. So it drops straight into existing R7s fixtures. On the line, that means less fiddling and faster changeover.
